IKEA is the flat-pack furniture reference, and its catalogue is the kind an agent searches rather than browses: a product family name or a plain description — bookshelf, standing desk, bedside table — turns into a list of items with a price and a rating on each. ikea.com has no public product API and blocks automated browsing. Through AgentKey your agent searches IKEA’s US store the same way it reads everything else — find_tools, describe_tool, execute_tool. Search is the only IKEA tool today.

What you can ask

  • “Find bookshelves at IKEA US with their prices and ratings.”
  • “Search IKEA for standing desks and tell me the cheapest one that comes back.”
  • “Which KALLAX units show up on IKEA US, and how are they rated?”
  • “Show me the first two pages of IKEA results for ‘bedside table’, with images.”
  • “Pull IKEA’s price for a BILLY bookcase so I can compare it with this Target bookshelf.”
  • “宜家美国站的书架有哪些,价格多少?“

What’s covered

Search
  • Keyword search of IKEA’s US store, page by page
  • Title, price, rating and image for each result
  • No sort order or price filter today — results come back in IKEA’s own order, so sort and filter them on the agent side
Store and currency
  • Coverage is ikea.com’s US store, priced in US dollars
Not covered today: product details by URL — description, dimensions, variants or stock — and customer reviews; the rating on each search result is the only review signal. For a furniture price check that needs a product page, pair this page with Target or Walmart, and see product research workflows for how the retailer tools chain together.

How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:
Search takes a keyword and a page number, nothing else. Prices come back as IKEA shows them, in US dollars, not converted. Always describe_tool before executing: it shows the page limits and the per-call cost.
Building with code? IKEA is available through the catalog tools above only; there are no fixed-contract Scenario Methods for it yet. See the Scenario Methods overview for the platforms that have them.

FAQ

No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey subscription.
No. The tool is read-only, and search results carry no stock at all — title, price, rating and image are what ikea.com’s US store shows online.
Not today. Search is the only IKEA tool: it returns a title, price, rating and image per result, and the rating is the only review signal. A product’s description, dimensions, variants, stock and review text are not available through AgentKey yet.
