What is the difference between captions, danmaku and a transcript?
What is the difference between captions, danmaku and a transcript?
Captions are the subtitle tracks attached to a video; danmaku are the
viewer comments that scroll over it, fetched per segment; the transcript is
speech-to-text produced as a submit-then-fetch task. All three are
available and answer different questions.
Can it play members-only content?
Can it play members-only content?
Only what is publicly reachable is available. A separate route returns the
play URL for VIP titles, but access still depends on what Bilibili serves
for that video at request time.
