Amazon is the reference catalog for most product research, and one of the harder ones for an agent to read: the official Product Advertising API needs an approved associate account that keeps selling, and the storefront blocks automated browsing. Through AgentKey your agent reads public Amazon listings the same way it reads everything else — find_tools, describe_tool, execute_tool — choosing the country marketplace on every call.

What you can ask

  • “Find wireless earbuds under 50 dollars on Amazon US, Prime-eligible only, sorted by rating.”
  • “Pull the listing for this ASIN on Amazon Germany and give me the price and rating.”
  • “What do the top reviews of this product say? Summarize the recurring complaints.”
  • “Show me the current Best Sellers in Home & Kitchen on Amazon UK.”
  • “List the products under this category node on Amazon Japan, newest first.”
  • “Is the same ASIN cheaper on amazon.com or amazon.co.uk right now?”
  • “Are there any deals on standing desks on Amazon today?”
  • “Search Amazon for used copies of this camera body.”

What’s covered

Search
  • Keyword or ASIN search inside a chosen country marketplace
  • Sort order, item condition, Prime-only and deals filters, page controls
Product details
  • Listing details for a known ASIN in a selected marketplace — for catalog review, side-by-side comparison or downstream analysis
Reviews
  • The top reviews of a product by ASIN — the prominent customer feedback, ready for sentiment or quality analysis
Rankings & categories
  • Best Sellers for a category path, paginated, in the marketplace you choose
  • Products under a numeric category node with configurable sorting — browse an assortment or collect a whole category’s listings
Marketplaces
  • Every operation takes a country, so the same ASIN, keyword or category can be checked across Amazon’s regional sites one call at a time

How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:
Prices come back in the currency of the marketplace you selected, not converted. Always describe_tool before executing: it shows the country field and its accepted values, the sort and filter options, and the per-call cost.
Building with code? The same capability is available as fixed-contract Scenario Methods with automatic provider failover: ecommerce.amazon.product.search, ecommerce.amazon.product.get, ecommerce.amazon.product.reviews, ecommerce.amazon.product.rank.

FAQ

No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey subscription.
Every operation takes a country parameter that selects the regional site. Run describe_tool on the operation to see the accepted values rather than assuming a country is supported.
Every call goes to Amazon at request time; nothing is served from a stale archive. A price is what the listing shows at that moment, in the marketplace’s own currency. AgentKey does not keep a price history — to track a price, call again on your own schedule.
