# Attractions and local transport for AI agents

> Booking.com attractions and tours with reviews and availability, taxi quotes between two places, plus currencies, exchange rates, languages and geocoding.

Once the flight and the hotel are settled, the rest of the trip is what to do
and how to get there — tours and tickets, their reviews and free dates, a taxi
from the airport — plus the small facts every travel agent needs: which
currencies and languages exist, today's exchange rate, the coordinates of an
address. Through AgentKey your agent gets all of this from Booking.com with
the same three calls — `find_tools`, `describe_tool`, `execute_tool`. Every
operation is a lookup; nothing is booked.

## What you can ask

* *"What are the top-rated things to do in Barcelona next weekend?"*
* *"Find museum tours in Kyoto sorted by lowest price."*
* *"Show the details and recent reviews for this food tour."*
* *"Which dates in May is this tour available?"*
* *"What attractions are popular near this hotel?"*
* *"How much is a taxi from Heathrow to King's Cross at nine on Friday morning?"*
* *"罗马有哪些热门景点和一日游？"*
* *"Convert this price to Japanese yen at today's rate."*

## What's covered

**Attractions and tours**

* Location search by city, district or place name, returning destination ids
  and product slugs
* Attraction search for a destination, sorted by trending, booking score or
  lowest price, with type, price, label and area filters discovered from the
  search response, an optional date window, currency, language and paging
* Attraction details by product slug; reviews with user ratings, comments and
  review counts
* Availability of a product on a date, and its availability calendar
* Popular attractions near a hotel

**Taxis**

* Place search for pick-up and drop-off points, returning place ids
* Taxi search between two places for a pick-up date and 24-hour time, priced
  in a chosen currency and described in a chosen language

**Reference data**

* The list of available currencies; exchange rates for every currency against
  a base currency
* The list of response languages; the list of supported locations
* Any address or place name turned into latitude and longitude

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="top-rated things to do in Barcelona this weekend")
find_tools(q="罗马热门景点和一日游")
find_tools(prefix="travel/booking")        # browse all Booking.com tools
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

The tools chain: attraction location search gives an id for the search and a
slug for details, availability and reviews; taxi place search gives the place
ids the taxi search takes. Always `describe_tool` before executing — the
filter values for attractions come back inside the search response.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Building with code?** Attractions, taxis and the reference lookups are
> available through the catalog tools above; there is no fixed-contract
> [Scenario Method](/api-reference/scenario/overview) for them yet. Hotel and
> flight search do have methods — see [Hotels](/capabilities/travel/hotels)
> and [Flights](/capabilities/travel/flights).

## FAQ

> **Does it buy tickets or book the taxi?**
>
> No. Attraction availability and taxi search return options and prices
> only; no ticket is purchased and no ride is booked.

> **How current are prices and availability?**
>
> Fetched at request time. Exchange rates are whatever Booking.com serves
> when you call; attraction availability and taxi quotes should be
> re-checked before the user commits.

> **Which languages and currencies?**
>
> Any language and currency on Booking.com's own lists, which are
> themselves available here as lookups — fetch them once and reuse the codes
> across hotel, flight, car and attraction calls.
