# Bilibili data for AI agents

> Bilibili video search, detail, comments and danmaku, captions and transcripts, UP主 profiles and uploads, hot lists, live rooms and Huahuo creator rankings.

Bilibili (B站) is China's home for long-form video, anime, gaming and tech
explainers, with a comment culture — danmaku scrolling over the video — that
exists nowhere else. Its web API is undocumented and rate-limited. Through
AgentKey your agent reads public Bilibili data the same way it reads everything
else — `find_tools`, `describe_tool`, `execute_tool` — with several providers
behind the scenes, so one route failing does not stop the task.

## What you can ask

* *"Find the most played Bilibili videos about Rust tutorials this year."*
* *"B站上这个UP主最近发了哪些视频？"*
* *"Pull this video's comments and danmaku and tell me what the audience reacts to."*
* *"Transcribe this Bilibili video."*
* *"How many followers, total views and likes does this UP主 have?"*
* *"What is on the Bilibili hot search and popular list right now?"*
* *"Which UP主 lead the Huahuo rankings in the tech category?"*
* *"Who is streaming in the gaming live area right now?"*

## What's covered

**Videos**

* Keyword search sorted by overall ranking, play count or publish time
* Video detail by BVID or AID; multi-part videos; aid ↔ bvid conversion
* Play URL and play info, audio URL
* Danmaku (on-screen comments) by segment; caption and subtitle data
* Short share-link resolution; the home feed

**Comments**

**UP主 (creators)**

* Profile by UID; relation stats (followers and following); total views and
  likes
* Uploaded videos; dynamics (动态) and dynamic detail
* Collection folders and the videos they hold
* Account search by keyword

**Trending**

* Hot search; the popular feed; comprehensive popular-video information
* Bangumi and cinema tabs

**Live**

* Live areas, the streamers in an area, live room info and live video data

**Creator marketplace (Huahuo 花火)**

* Creator rankings by category, video rankings by industry, X-Huo product and
  creator rankings with their periods and industries
* Creator profile, representative videos and highlights, video performance,
  metric trends and follower trends
* Creators with similar content or overlapping audiences; search by nickname;
  filter dictionaries for industry, persona, commercial and occupation tags
* Live-commerce performance and categories, live creator profiles, guilds and
  MCN organizations

**Transcripts**

* Transcription as a submit-then-fetch task

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="most played Bilibili videos about Rust tutorials this year")
find_tools(q="B站上这个UP主最近发了哪些视频")
find_tools(prefix="social/bilibili")       # browse everything for Bilibili
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

Both English and Chinese phrasing work, and the platform's usual English and Chinese names all land here. Always `describe_tool` before executing — parameters
and per-call costs differ between providers.

## FAQ

> **Do I need a Bilibili account?**
>
> No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey
> subscription.

> **What is the difference between captions, danmaku and a transcript?**
>
> Captions are the subtitle tracks attached to a video; danmaku are the
> viewer comments that scroll over it, fetched per segment; the transcript is
> speech-to-text produced as a submit-then-fetch task. All three are
> available and answer different questions.

> **Can it play members-only content?**
>
> Only what is publicly reachable is available. A separate route returns the
> play URL for VIP titles, but access still depends on what Bilibili serves
> for that video at request time.
