# Earnings, estimates and analyst data for AI agents

> Earnings history and surprises, earnings and IPO calendars, analyst EPS and revenue estimates, recommendation trends and call transcripts for AI agents.

Earnings season is where an agent has to be both fast and precise: when does
the company report, what is the consensus, how did it beat or miss last time,
and what did management say on the call. That data sits behind paid terminals
and scattered vendor APIs. Through AgentKey your agent gets it with
`find_tools`, `describe_tool`, `execute_tool`, with AlphaVantage and Finnhub
behind the scenes and yfinance's earnings module as a quick fallback.

## What you can ask

* *"When does Nvidia report next, and what EPS and revenue are analysts expecting?"*
* *"Show me Apple's quarterly EPS surprises for the last five years."*
* *"Which large caps report earnings next week?"*
* *"What is the buy / hold / sell split on Tesla, and how has it shifted over six months?"*
* *"Pull the transcript of Microsoft's latest earnings call and summarize the guidance."*
* *"What IPOs are scheduled over the next three months?"*
* *"Give me the consensus EPS estimate for Amazon for this year and next."*

**Estimates and recommendations**

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="next earnings date for NVDA with consensus EPS and revenue")
find_tools(q="特斯拉的分析师评级变化")
find_tools(prefix="finance/alphavantage")    # earnings history, estimates, transcripts, calendars
find_tools(prefix="finance/finnhub")         # surprises, earnings calendar, recommendations, IPOs
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

Both English and Chinese phrasing work. Always `describe_tool` before
executing — date windows, quarter parameters and per-call costs differ between
providers.

## FAQ

> **How far back does earnings history go?**
>
> Quarterly earnings surprises reach back to 2000 on their route; the
> annual and quarterly EPS history covers the company's reporting history as
> the vendor holds it. `describe_tool` documents any limit on rows per call.

> **Are the estimates a consensus?**
>
> Yes — the estimate tools return analyst consensus figures, and the
> recommendation trend tool returns the buy / hold / sell split for
> successive periods, so you can see how sentiment has shifted.

> **Can I get the IPO prospectus too?**
>
> The calendars here tell you which IPOs are recent or upcoming. For the
> S-1 / 424B4 prospectus itself — shares offered, price range, use of
> proceeds, underwriters, risk factors — use the registration filings under
> [SEC filings & ownership](/capabilities/finance/sec-filings-and-ownership).
