# Walmart product data for AI agents

> Search Walmart with sort, price and brand filters, read a product page's price, availability, images and specs, and pull customer reviews through AgentKey.

Walmart is the largest retailer in the US, and walmart.com carries more than
its stores do: marketplace sellers list alongside Walmart's own stock, so two
results for the same query can come from different sellers at different
prices and availability. The storefront blocks automated browsing, and
Walmart's own APIs are reserved for marketplace sellers and approved
affiliates. Through AgentKey your agent reads public Walmart listings the
same way it reads everything else — `find_tools`, `describe_tool`,
`execute_tool` — search, product pages and customer reviews.

## What you can ask

* *"Search Walmart for an air fryer under 100 dollars, best sellers first."*
* *"Find Dyson vacuums on Walmart, highest rated first, and show who sells each one."*
* *"What's newest in robot vacuums on Walmart? Title, price and rating."*
* *"Which of these Walmart results are sold by Walmart itself, and which by marketplace sellers?"*
* *"Open this Walmart product page — price, availability, rating and the full spec list."*
* *"Pull the most helpful reviews for this Walmart product and summarize the complaints."*
* *"Show me the lowest-rated recent reviews of this air fryer — are they verified purchases?"*
* *"Compare this blender's price at Walmart, Target and Best Buy right now."*
* *"沃尔玛上这款吸尘器的差评主要说什么？"*

## What's covered

**Search**

* Keyword search with page controls, a price range, and facet filters —
  brand and the other facets Walmart's search exposes
* Sort by best match, best sellers, price, rating or newest
* Title, price, rating, seller and availability for each result

**Product details**

* One product by its page URL — title, price, availability, ratings, images
  and specs

**Reviews**

* Customer reviews for a product by URL, a page of ten at a time — rating,
  title, text, date, reviewer and verified-purchase badge
* Newest first (the default), oldest first, by relevance, most helpful, or
  highest or lowest rating

**Store and currency**

* Coverage is walmart.com, Walmart's US site, priced in US dollars

To set a Walmart price next to its rivals', pair this page with
[Target](https://docs.agentkey.app/capabilities/ecommerce/target-product-data-for-ai-agents.md) and
[Best Buy](https://docs.agentkey.app/capabilities/ecommerce/best-buy-product-data-for-ai-agents.md), whose
tools work the same way, or with
[Amazon](https://docs.agentkey.app/capabilities/ecommerce/amazon-product-data-for-ai-agents.md) for the
marketplace price.

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="most helpful reviews of this Walmart air fryer")
find_tools(q="沃尔玛上这款吸尘器的差评")
find_tools(prefix="ecommerce/walmart")      # browse everything for Walmart
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

Product and review tools take the product page URL, and search results carry
it, so search → product → reviews needs no manual parsing. Prices come back as
Walmart shows them, in US dollars, not converted. Always `describe_tool` before
executing: it shows the accepted sort values, how to pass brand and other facet
filters, the page limits, and the per-call cost.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Do I need a Walmart account?
>
> No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey
> subscription.

> [accordion] Can it place an order or check my local store's shelf?
>
> No. Every tool is read-only — search, product details and reviews — and
> availability is what walmart.com shows online, not the stock of a
> particular store near you.

> [accordion] Does it cover marketplace sellers too?
>
> Yes. Search returns what walmart.com returns for the query — items sold by
> Walmart and third-party marketplace listings alike — and each result names
> its seller, so your agent can tell them apart before opening a product
> page or its reviews.
