# G2 reviews for AI agents

> Read G2 reviews for a software product by slug or URL, with what reviewers like and dislike and their market segment, sorted by date or rating through AgentKey.

G2 is where business software gets bought: buyers compare tools by what
current users like and dislike, which problems the product solved for them
and which market segment those users come from. Through AgentKey your agent
reads G2 reviews for any product the same way it reads everything else —
`find_tools`, `describe_tool`, `execute_tool` — sorted the way the question
needs.

## What you can ask

* *"What do G2 reviewers like and dislike about HubSpot Marketing Hub?"*
* *"Pull the lowest-rated G2 reviews of this product and list the recurring complaints."*
* *"What problems do enterprise customers say this tool solved for them, according to G2?"*
* *"Give me the most helpful G2 reviews of Notion."*
* *"How do mid-market and small-business reviewers on G2 rate this product differently?"*
* *"Open this G2 product URL and summarize the newest reviews."*
* *"Compare the latest G2 and Capterra reviews of Slack."*
* *"G2 上用户对 HubSpot 的评价主要在说什么？"*

## What's covered

**Identifiers**

* Reviews for a product by its G2 slug or by the URL of its G2 product page

**Ordering and limit**

* Most recent by default, or most helpful, highest rated, lowest rated, or
  G2's own default order
* A `limit` on how many reviews come back; set it to fetch only as many as
  you need

**What comes back**

* Star rating and G2's rating rubric for each review
* What the reviewer likes and dislikes, and the problems the product solved
  for them
* The reviewer's market segment

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="what G2 reviewers like and dislike about HubSpot Marketing Hub")
find_tools(q="G2 上用户对 HubSpot 的评价")
find_tools(prefix="ecommerce/g2")           # browse everything for G2
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

G2 sits in the E-commerce branch of the catalog. The review tool takes the
product's G2 slug or its G2 URL, so a link copied from G2 works as is. Set a
`limit` to fetch only as many reviews as you need. Always `describe_tool`
before executing: it shows the accepted sort values and the per-call cost.

>
> **Building with code?** G2 is available through the catalog tools above
> only; there are no fixed-contract Scenario Methods for it yet. See the

> platforms that have them.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Do I need a G2 vendor account?
>
> No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey
> subscription.

> [accordion] Can it reply to, flag or post reviews?
>
> No. The tool is read-only — reviews come out, nothing goes in. Nothing is
> posted, answered or reported.

> [accordion] How do I find a product's G2 slug?
>
> It is the product name as it appears in the product's g2.com URL — for
> example `hubspot-marketing-hub` in
> `g2.com/products/hubspot-marketing-hub/reviews` — and the tool also
> accepts that URL as is. There is no product search on G2, so start from a
> slug or URL you already have. Reviews of the same product on
> [Capterra](https://docs.agentkey.app/capabilities/ecommerce/capterra-reviews-for-ai-agents.md) are read
> by its Capterra URL, and consumer brands are on
> [Trustpilot](https://docs.agentkey.app/capabilities/ecommerce/trustpilot-reviews-for-ai-agents.md).
