# AliExpress product data for AI agents

> Search AliExpress with category, brand, price and ship-to filters and read product details by item ID, in your chosen currency and locale, through AgentKey.

AliExpress is the cross-border storefront of the Alibaba group, and what a
shopper sees there depends on where they are: prices, availability and titles
change with the destination country, the currency and the language. The
affiliate API requires approval and the site blocks automated browsing.
Through AgentKey your agent reads AliExpress listings the same way it reads
everything else — `find_tools`, `describe_tool`, `execute_tool` — and sets
the region, currency and locale explicitly instead of inheriting them from an
IP address.

## What you can ask

* *"Find Bluetooth speakers on AliExpress under 20 dollars that ship to Brazil, cheapest first."*
* *"Show AliExpress results for 'mechanical keyboard' from the Keychron brand, priced in euros."*
* *"Open this AliExpress item for the US region in USD and summarize the listing."*
* *"What does this AliExpress item cost in USD, EUR and BRL?"*

## What's covered

**Search**

* Keyword query with page and sort controls
* Narrow by category, brand, seller location, product attribute and price
  range

**Product details**

* A listing by item ID — for catalog review, comparison or downstream analysis

**Region, currency & language**

* Both operations accept a region (the ship-to country), a currency and a
  locale, so prices and titles come back the way a shopper in that market
  would see them

Not covered today: reviews, store pages and rankings for AliExpress. If you
need review signal for a cross-border product, pair this page with
[Amazon](/capabilities/ecommerce/amazon) or
[Shopee](/capabilities/ecommerce/shopee).

## How to use it

Pass the request in plain language and let the router pick the tool:

```text theme={null}
find_tools(q="bluetooth speakers on AliExpress shipping to Brazil under 20 dollars")
find_tools(q="速卖通上搜机械键盘，欧元计价")
find_tools(prefix="ecommerce/aliexpress")   # browse everything for AliExpress
describe_tool("<returned Provider/Operation>")
execute_tool("<Provider/Operation>", { ...params })
```

Prices come back in the currency you request through the currency control,
not converted by AgentKey. Always `describe_tool` before executing: it shows
the region, currency and locale fields with their accepted values, the search
filters, and the per-call cost.

## FAQ

> **Do I need an AliExpress account or affiliate approval?**
>
> No. AgentKey holds the upstream access; your agent only needs your AgentKey
> subscription.

> **Which countries and currencies can I query?**
>
> Region, currency and locale are parameters on both operations. Run
> `describe_tool` to see the accepted codes rather than assuming a
> destination is supported.

> **How fresh are prices and availability?**
>
> Every call goes to AliExpress at request time; nothing is served from a
> stale archive. A price is what the listing shows at that moment for the
> region and currency you passed.
